Abstract
The strength of the transient parametric scattering in BaTiO3 is shown to b e strongly dependent on the initial conditions of the sample illumination. It is shown that the effect can be explained by a considerable increase of the seeding radiation intensity after pre-exposure of the sample to the ord inarily polarized pump beam.
