Abstract
The taxa of Curculio L, found in China are segregated into seven groups bas ed on simple morphological characteristics and a key to the first groups, C urculio robustus Roelofs, Curculio flavescens (Roelofs) and the remaining f ive groups of Curculio from China are presented. Descriptions are included of the following tars: Curculio beverlyae, new species, Curculio vivianae, new species, Curculio cristinae, new species, and Curculio fausti, new spec ies. Redescriptions are provided of Curculio deceptor panthaicus (Heller), Curculio flavescens (Roelofs) and Curculio robustus (Roelofs). Curculio fun ebris (Roelofs) = Curculio shaowuensis Voss, is synonymized (New Synonomy). Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Academia Sinica, Beijing, China.
