Abstract
The effects of YF3 and InF3 addition and substitution on ZrF4-BaF2-LaF 3-AIF(3)-LiF (ZBLALi) glasses containing high levels of PbF2 are syste matically investigated in terms of glass characteristic temperatures, refractive indices, thermal expansion coefficients. viscosities and cr ystallization behavior. Based on thermal stability data, optimized gla ss compositions were deduced, which could be used as core glasses to a chieve high numerical aperture fluoride fibres.
