Abstract
The molar heat capacity temperature dependence of a fluorochloride gla ss whose composition is Cd0.50Ba0.13Na0.34K0.03Cl0.66F0.97 has a diffe rence of 16 J/mol K between the solid and the liquid. Based on this di fference, the liquid is fragile. The Debye temperature, obtained by fi tting the calculated heat capacity at constant volume with the Debye c urve, is approximate to 438 K, the corresponding frequency being 304 c m(-1).
