M. De Sario et al., Optically controlled delay lines by pulse self-trapping in parametric waveguides with distributed feedback, IEEE J Q EL, 36(8), 2000, pp. 931-943
Quadratically nonlinear waveguides are studied in the presence of a Bragg g
rating resonant with one of the involved frequencies. In the case of second
-harmonic generation and distributed feedback at the fundamental, we invest
igate the existence and features of tno-color gap-solitary waves, focusing
on controlling their propagation speed. This leads to the conception of opt
ically controlled delay lines and retiming schemes for pulse streams in com
munication systems.
