Abstract
The purpose of the Sunrise Laser Thermokeratoplasty (LTK) US clinical study was to investigate the safety and efficacy of the Sunrise Hyperion LTK Sys tem (Sunrise Technologies, Fremont, CA) for the corrective treatment of low to moderate hyperopia (+0.75 D to +2.50 D). This chapter provides an overv iew of this unique hyperopic refractive surgical procedure, including a dis cussion of the U.S. clinical study design, a description of the laser syste m and treatment parameters, and a review of the clinical outcomes achieved with the Sunrise LTK technique for the correction of low to moderate hypero pia.
