Abstract
Cloud point extraction of aromatic solutes in the system containing nonioni c surfactant polyoxyethylene nonylphenyl ether (PONPE 10) was discussed in terms of their hydrogen-bond donating and accepting abilities and hydrophob icity. It was shown that the Abraham model could be used to estimate the di stribution ratio and the effect of aromatic solutes on the cloud point. (C) 2000 Academic Press.
