Abstract
Salaria fluviatilis in the Jucar river basin was found only in the Jucar Ri ver itself, the tributaries Cabriel and Escalona. and the irrigation channe l Acequia Real. Blenny density varied from (C) 2 to 3.1 ind m(-2). Sites wi th blennies had significantly fewer coliform counts than those without blen nies. (C) 2000 The Fisheries Society of the British Isles.
