Abstract
A new 4(1H)-quinolinone alkaloid, sarcomejine (1), has been isolated from t he bark of Sarcomelicope megistophylla. Its structure has been elucidated o n the basis of MS and NMR data and especially with a long-range H-1-N-15 co rrelation NMR spectrum at natural abundance.
