Jy. Wang et al., Study on molecular movement and compatibility of polypropylene/polyester semi-interpenetrating polymer networks, J POLYM ENG, 20(3), 2000, pp. 201-211
The effects of reaction factors on the composition in network-modified poly
propylene (PP) were studied. The chemical reaction between functionalized p
olypropylene and polyester (PES) was characterized with infrared analysis.
Phase separation between these two components is reduced as a result of the
chemical crosslinks and physical entanglement. The mechanical properties o
f the blends are improved due to the amelioration of compatibility. The res
ult of ESR shows that 2A(zz) reaches its maximum value at a ratio of 87/13
for PP/PES. At the same time, the temperature at which fast movement of the
molecule begins comes up to 290K.
