S. Van Lierde et al., New experimental k(0) and related data for generalized activation/decay cases implemented in the "Kayzero" software package, J RAD NUCL, 245(1), 2000, pp. 179-184
A revision is made of some activation-decay types in k(0)-NAA, aiming at th
e removal of (1) the inconvenience that a long-lived daughter radionuclide
could in some instances only be measured after complete decay of a shorter-
lived mother; and (2) the simplification that in some cases the measured ga
mma-ray emitted by the daughter radionuclide is not significantly contribut
ed to by the mother. In view of this, new experimental and generalized k(0)
's and related data [Q(0),k(0),(m)/k(0)(g) etc.] for some analytically rele
vant activation-decay cases are presented for implementation in an updated
version of the "Kayzero" software package. These cases are: Co-60m-Co-60, R
h-104m-Rh-104, Pd-109m-Pd-109-Ag-109m, Sb-122m-Sb-122, Cs-134m-Cs-134, Pt-1
99m-Pt-199-Au-199. For completeness, recent data for two additional cases a
re also included: Br-80m-Br-80, Sb-124m2- Sb-124ml.
