K. Kaneko et al., Photonuclear reaction with 300 MeV bremsstrahlung: Analysis of phosphorus in phosphoric compounds, J RAD NUCL, 244(3), 2000, pp. 485-489
A nondestructive photon activation method using 300 MeV bremsstrahlung foll
owed by high-resolution gamma-ray spectrometry has been successfully applie
d to the determination of phosphorus in boron phosphides and phosphoric com
pounds. The materials used as standards in the method are bipotassium hydro
gen phosphate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, lithium phosphate, and phosp
orus powder. The sensitivity of the Na-24 produced by the P-31(gamma,4p3n)
reaction was 0.0092 counts/s/mu g P.
