Abstract
This report presents a case of a male newborn with a severe circumferential amniotic band, treated by single-stage excision of the ring, and microvasc ular venous anastomosis between the proximal and distal parts of the affect ed site. No complications were encountered. A microsurgical approach to imp rove the circulation may be useful in some cases.
