T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder in an aged rhesus macaque

Clinical signs in nonhuman primates with lymphoproliferative disorders are usually nonspecific and include lethargy, anorexia, weight loss, pallor, an d organomegaly. A diagnosis of leukemia in nonhuman primates is best made by performing ser ial CBC, bone marrow and lymph node biopsies, and flow cytometry and immuno phenotyping of peripheral blood mononuclear cells.
