Abstract
In this paper we examine the effects of electron Coulomb distortion on the second, fourth, and fifth structure functions and the left-right asymmetry (A(LT)) for O-16(e, e'p) reactions. For large incident electron energy the effects of the Coulomb distortion on the cross section are very small but h ave larger contribution on the structure functions. We obtain that the Coul omb effects are about 5%similar to 10% on the fourth and fifth structure fu nctions and the left-right asymmetry. in small missing momentum region. How ever, on the second structure functions, the effects are relatively small c omparing with the fourth and fifth structure functions while they are bigge r than the corresponding cross sections. In addition we compare our theoret ical results with recently measured data from CEBAF.
