Abstract
A novel kind of conjugated polymer was prepared by an oxidative-coupling po lymerization of N-alkylcarbazole and trans-stilbene. The structure of the c opolymers was characterized by elemental analysis, H-1 NMR, UV-vis, and FTI R spectra. The copolymers have good solubility in common organic solvents a nd are thermally stable. Fluorescence spectra showed that these polymers ar e blue-light-emitting materials.
