Abstract
In this paper, we consider phase boundary solutions to a four-velocity kine tic model of a kinetic equation governing the motion of van der Waals fluid s. These solutions connect such equilibrium states, which are saddle critic al points of the suitable dynamic system. Solutions of this type can be int erpreted as dynamic phase transition.
