Abstract
Several perinaphthenone/phenylphenalenone compounds were synthesized to est ablish a relationship between structure and antifungal activity against Myc osphaerella fijiensis. Substitutions on the unsaturated carbonyl system or addition of a phenyl group reduced antibiotic activity.
