Abstract
A novel compound with the chemical formula of La2SrB10O19 has been successf ully synthesized from the La2O3-SrO-B2O3 system via a solid stare reaction. The power X-ray diffraction data is reported. It is Sound that the data sh ow little difference from that of La2CaB10O19 which demonstrate that they a re isostructural. The powder second harmonic generation effect of La2SrB10O 19 is about twice that of KH2PO4(KDP). The investigation of crystal growth is in progress.
