Abstract
1. An electron microscopic study was undertaken to study beta-amyloid (A be ta) deposition and neuropathology in aged dogs. 2. A positive correlation between A beta deposits and neuropathology was fo und in some dogs. Massive A beta deposition was correlated to advanced lesi ons. 3. By use of immunocytochemistry A beta fibers were identified within plaqu es, around vessels and in association with cell membranes.
