The first part of this article is supposed to present a brief overview on the development of tissues and structures related to the pharyn x, as far as they provide a better understanding of the most congenital les ions in this area of the body. Benign lesions. The second part of this article focuses on benign lesions o riginating in the pharynx or in neighbouring structures. Functional pharynx abnormalities are beyond the scope of this paper.
