Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements yield a lot of informat
ion on the electrochemical process at the interface electrode/electrolyte.
The paper deals with the study of the electrodic reaction of the Fe3+ / Fe2
+ system on a SnO2 based electrode. Impedance spectra analysis yielded that
the determinative stage of the electrodic process in the charge transfer t
hrough the electric double layer and that the electrocathalytic properties
of the SnO2 based electrode are weaker than that of the platinum electrode,
but are adequate for the Fe3+ / Fe2+ system.
