Anodic processes occurring in the course of electrolytic deposition of vana
dium(V) oxide from solutions of vanadium(IV) oxysulfate were studied by the
method of polarization curves. The most favorable electrolysis conditions
were estimated at which vanadium(V) oxide is obtained as a compact coating
in a quantitative yield. Such coatings show promise as active cathode mater
ials for lithium batteries.
