Abstract
A study is made of the role of structural fragments of the main chain of fi ber-forming copolyimides, as well as of interrelation of the chemical struc ture, supramolecular organization, and properties of fibers. The basic prin ciples are suggested for the molecular design of fiber-forming copolyimides intended for preparing fibers with the desired set of deformation and stre ngth characteristics.
