Abstract
We present a rare complication of an arteriovenous fistula for haemodialysi s. Incompetence of the anti-reflux mechanism associated with elevated venou s pressure in the subclavian vein provided conditions for intense blood ref lux to the left jugular territory and development of ipsilateral glaucoma, successfully treated by ligation of the left jugular veins.
