Abstract
The new concept of biomedicalization retains form the intital concept of me dicalisation concern with expansions of professional jurisdiction, however its modus operandi are understood as technoscientifically-based and organiz ed innovations that do not merely supplement what was, but transform it. He re the key agents of change are understood as technoscientifically-based. I n this paper we frame key elements of new biomedicalization: theory: risk a nd surveillance, the technoscientization of biomedicine, the transformation of knowledge production, information management and distribution, the tran sformation of bodies, and the political economic constitution of the Biomed ical TechnoService Complex(TM), Inc. In conclusion, we reflect upon the rhi zomic globalizations of the new biomedicine and the new biomedicalization.
