Abstract
Separation diagrams have been calculated for two ternary liquid mixtures: n -hexane/n-octane/n-tetradecane as a model of an ideal adsorptive mixture an d ethanol/n-octane/n-hexadecane as a model of a liquid mixture with one pol ar component, which exhibits a wide miscibility gap. The diagrams allow a d iscussion of the adsorption effects on the well-characterized TA 95 activat ed carbon, which represents surface and structural properties of typical mi croporous carbons.
