Abstract
At El-Gedida iron ore deposits there is a block of about 30 million tons ne glected due to its high sulfur content in the form of barite gangue mineral s. From this bulk, by magnetic separation, dual concentrates of high grade iron concentrate (similar or equal to 65%Fe and total Sulfur of 0.26%) and high grade barite concentrate of (60.87% BaO and total impurities of less t han 3%) are obtained.
