M. Buckova et al., Contribution to the study of morphological variance between the isolates of Aspergillus niger obtained from different localities in Slovakia, BIOLOGIA, 55(3), 2000, pp. 223-228
Paper is focused on the dominant Aspergillus niger Tiegh strain isolated fr
om three different localities in Slovakia. Morphological differences among
cultures of isolated Aspergillus niger grown in Czapek-Dox agar and glucose
yeast pepton media were observed after 25 days of cultivation. The strain
isolated from Gabcikovo fluvisoils revealed 100% production of black conidi
al heads while the strains from Krompachy and Rudnany geographically situat
ed in Spissko-Gemerske Rudohorie hits formed reduced, smaller, light brown
even grey conidial heads. The heads become coloured after 39 days. Localiti
es Krompachy and Rudnany are permanently under influence of heavy metals ma
inly Hg and Cu.
