M. Yaman et Z. Demirbag, Isolation, identification and determination of insecticidal activity of two insect-originated Bacillus spp., BIOLOGIA, 55(3), 2000, pp. 283-287
Two species of Bacillus, B. thuringiensis and B. sphaericus were isolated f
rom Hyphantria cunea and Pieris brassicae, respectively. These bacteria wer
e identified and tested as a biological control agents against the hazelnut
pests, Gypsonoma dealbana, Euproctis chrysorrhoea, Melolontha melolontha a
nd Agelastica alni. B. thuringiensis and B. sphaericus have 93 and 29% inse
cticidal activities on G. dealbana, 58 and 37% on E. chrysorrhoea, 44 and 3
2% on M. melolontha and 24 and 38% on A. alni respectively.
