Sg. Sarkar et Pm. Dhadke, Extraction and spectrophotometric determination of palladium(II) with bis(2-ethylhexyl) hydrogen phosphate, CHEM ANAL, 45(4), 2000, pp. 575-582
A novel method is proposed for the extraction of Pd(II) from HCl-HClO4 acid
mixture in the presence of tin(II) chloride using bis(2-ethylhexyl) hydrog
en phosphate (HDEHP). Palladium(II) has been determined in the organic phas
e by direct spectrophotometry at 515 nm. Various parameters such as acid co
ncentration, reagent concentration, tin(II) chloride concentration and effe
ct of diverse ions were studied. The proposed method was further extended f
or the separation of Pd(II) from other platinum group metals and analysis o
f Pd(II) in commercial samples.
