Within the framework of the effective field theory, based on the use of a p
robability distribution technique that correctly accounts for the single si
te kinematic relations, we examine the phase transitions of a magnetic tran
sverse Ising superlattice consisting of two ferromagnet Ising materials wit
h spins mu = 1/2 and S = 1, respectively, on a simple cubic structure. The
critical temperature of the system is studied as a function of the interfac
e coupling, the thickness of the constituents in a unit cell. A critical va
lue of the interface exchange interaction above which the interface magneti
sm appears is found. The effects of the transverse field on the critical be
havior of the system are also investigated.
