Abstract
The use of differential forms in describing electromagnetic fields has many advantages. It avoids the ambiguities and contradictions that can arise in vector algebra and it greatly simplifies the mathematical processes. Even more important is the fact that differential forms show the close connectio ns between the geometry of space and time and the physical phenomena of ele ctromagnetism.
