Abstract
A saturated synchronous machine model has been developed to simulate the "c onverter-machine-command" (CMC) set. The objective was to obtain the model parameters without requiring any experimental tests on the machine. Differe nt approaches have been used to determine the model parameters variations v ersus the machine saturation state: numerical analysis (field calculation), and analytical studies. The model was applied to a 7.2 kW tetrapolar synch ronous machine with 24 damper bars. In the previous version, the model was based on field calculation and the damper factors were assumed to be consta nt and obtained by tests. In this paper ice propose to extend the model by deriving rite damper parameters with both numerical and analytical studies.
