Abstract
A structure optimization of a linear motion actuator fed by a constant volt age source is presented The optimization of the electromagnetic force actin g on the moving Part is performed for different goals with a stochastic alg orithm based on the simulated annealing method The numerical modeling is ma de with the finite element method where electrical and magnetic equations a re coupled As the optimal operating point depends on the load, the mowing p art mass is taken into account. Then, the displacement is calculated accord ing to a linear movement with a constant step-by-step acceleration. Three r esults are presented to show the area of the optimization possibilities.
