Ja. Moron-villarreyes et al., Some applications of salt-water oscillator in Chemical Engineering teaching and process equipment design, COMPUT CH E, 24(2-7), 2000, pp. 1753-1757
In this work, we have proposed several theoretical and experimental activit
ies using the salt-water oscillator as study object. This activity will be
performed by students of Chemical Engineering with the purpose to develop t
echnological applications for this device, had as a simple hydrodynamic cur
iosity that was discovered by S. Martin in 1970. In the present time, the s
aline oscillator comes exhaustingly being studied, due to its non-linear dy
namic features, under physical and mathematical point of view. Given the ab
sence of practical uses for this device, some applications are proposed tha
t could be formulated to students through exercises and experiences of Chem
ical Engineering laboratory. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights rese
