Abstract
Orthotrichum sprucei is reported for the first time from the Mediterranean area of central Spain. Although these populations have the differential cha racters of O. sprucei, they show interesting morphological variations: much smaller size, bulging leaf cells, and propagules on leaf margins, (C) 2000 Adac / Editions scientifiques et medicales Elsevier SAS.
