Abstract
An explicit solution is given to a generic: feedback design problem arising in flow control. The problem, which incorporates higher order dynamics and capacity constraints, captures important features of a number of design pr oblems for units whose purpose is to smooth out flow rate fluctuations betw een interconnected devices.
