This letter discusses the decoding of a block-coded scheme proposed for ort
hogonal frequency division multiplexing peak power reduction, employing the
ordered statistic decoding algorithm, Performance is evaluated by computer
simulations over an additive white Gaussian noise channel and compared wit
h the union bound. It is shown that with respect to optimum decoding, signi
ficant computational reduction can be achieved without noticeable error per
formance degradation.
