Abstract
The crystal structure of the phase Ce,Cd,, was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. It is closely related to, and indeed probably identical to, the previously reported compound CeCd6. The compound crystallizes in t he centrosymmetric space group Pn (3) over bar with the unit cell axis 15.8 08(2) Angstrom. The structure may be described by successive shells centere d around the origin and the position (1/2 1/2 1/2). (C) 2000 Elsevier Scien ce S.A. All rights reserved.
