Abstract
Yeast harboring rat liver P450 1A2 efficiently degraded trichloroethyl ene, pentachloroethane and hexachloroethane. Since liver P450s catalyz e degradation of thousands of chemicals, this method is promising for chemical-directed degradation of environmental pollutants.
