Sm. Willemsen et al., Modelling phase change with dissipative particle dynamics using a consistent boundary condition, J COMPUT PH, 162(2), 2000, pp. 385-394
With the introduction of an energy-conserving dissipative particle dynamics
(DPD) scheme, simulations of the thermal behaviour of complex fluids at hy
drodynamic time scales became possible. In this paper it is demonstrated th
at a different equation of state allows us to perform simulations of the ph
ase change of materials. We indicate that thermal simulations with a consta
nt temperature boundary condition are only possible in an accurate way at h
igh overlapping coefficients, if a newly developed consistent boundary cond
ition is used. (C) 2000 Academic Press.
