A CATALOG OF FAINT INTERACTING GALAXIES IN PAIRS AND GROUPS .2.

We have completed the second part of an extensive survey of faint pair s and groups of galaxies in order to study galaxy evolution at interme diate redshifts. In this paper we present the second catalog of faint interacting galaxies of 49 equatorial fields taken with the Cerro Tolo lo Inter-American Observatory 4 m prime focus camera. The data set con tains 11,297 galaxies within 19 < m(R) < 22, covering a total area of 2.63 deg(2). We have found 1461 isolated pairs and 30 groups with sepa rations 2 '' < theta < 6 ''. Our results confirm the excess of galaxie s in pairs and groups found in the first catalog (Infante, de Mello, & Menanteau 1996; de Mello, Infante, & Menanteau 1997). The two catalog s together cover an area of 4.86 deg(2) in the sky.
