Abstract
The synthesis and characterization of a new, polymeric, redox-active l igand with switchable binding affinities for transition metals are rep orted. Polymer 2 is based on p-ferrocenylphenyl acrylate and complexes the (eta(5)-C5Me5)Ru+ fragment. Oxidation of the polymeric ligand cha nges its binding constant for Ru by over two orders of magnitude.
