The ultrasonic compressional (V-l) and shear (V-s) velocities of lithium fe
rrite sintered at different temperatures are measured at room temperature u
sing ultrasonic pulse transmission technique. The elastic moduli of the spe
cimens are computed and corrected to zero porosity. The variation of elasti
c moduli with sintering temperature is interpreted in terms of binding forc
