Yj. Li et al., Lifetime measurements of the C-1 Pi(1) and B-3 Pi(1) electronic states of InCl by laser induced fluorescence, MOLEC PHYS, 98(17), 2000, pp. 1365-1367
The laser-induced fluorescence spectra of the InCl molecule over the range
266.5-287.0 nm and 332.0-373.0 nm are reported and assigned to C(1)Pi(1)-X(
1)Sigma(+), B(3)Pi(1)-X(1)Sigma(+), or A (3)Pi(0)-X(1)Sigma(+) transitions.
It is the first time those radiative lifetimes of the C(1)Pi(1) and B(3)Pi
(1) states have been measured by laser-induced fluorescence. The collision-
free fluorescence radiative lifetime tau(0) = 353(7) ns and a quenching rat
e constant k(Q) = 1.985. (0.010) x 10(10) cm(3) molecule(1) s(1) are propos
ed for B(3)Pi(1) and tau(0) = 11(1) ns for C(1)Pi(1) states. From the radia
tive lifetime tau(0) and the Franck-Condon factors q(v'v'') for the v'-v" t
ransitions, the electronic transition moments \R-e\(2) of the B(3)Pi(1) and
C(1)Pi(1) states have been obtained.
