Abstract
MRI scans were compared between 71 Hispanic and 73 white non-Hispanic patie nts with National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke probable A D. Analysis of covariance controlled for age, sex, education, and Mini-Ment al State Examination scores indicated that ventricular size was smaller in Hispanic than white non-Hispanic patients (p = 0.0003), There was no differ ence in cortical atrophy and T2-weighted white matter hyperintense signals between groups.
