Abstract
Constantin and Rao[1] have given a method for constructing single asym metric error correcting (SAEC) codes based on the theory of the Abelia n group. This paper uses the method of generating function in combinat orics to solve the implementation problems of the SAEC group theoretic codes. The encoding and decoding algorithms of the coding scheme perf orm simple arithmetic operations recursively. The idea of generating f unction can also be applied to t symmetric errors and simultaneously d etect all unidirectional errors (t-syEC/AUED) codes for 1 less than or equal to t less than or equal to 3.
