Abstract
The periodic Anderson model with correlation among conduction electrons is studied in slave boson mean field approximation. The results show that ther e is a bandwidth narrowing effect accompanied by an enhancement of the dens ities of states of the two kinds of electrons. The effect may play a very i mportant role in some heavy-fermion systems which are nearly half filling o f conduction electrons. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
