Abstract
Ag-sheathed (Bi,Pb)(2)Sr2Ca2Cu3Ox tapes were prepared by the powder-in-tube method. The influences of rolling parameters on superconducting characteri stics of Bi(2223)/Ag tapes were analyzed qualitatively with a statistical m ethod. The results demonstrate that roll diameter and reduction per pass si gnificantly influence the properties of Bi(2223)/Ag superconducting tapes w hile roll speed does less and working friction the least. The results achie ved in this work will play a critical role in the further optimization of r olling factors. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
